We sailors are always hearing about close encounters with whales on our sailboats, but have you ever heard of a sailor being surprised by a crocodile on a boat! Several members of the Coconut Grove Sailing Club in Miami spotted a 5 foot long crocodile last weekend near the boat docks.

Of what we thought will just be a sightseeing and view of Taal Volcano in Tagaytay, we found us a tour guide, Joel, who took us to “Taal Volcano” through the winding road in Talisay Batangas,boat riding across the island and hopped on horses atop the volcano overlooking the crater.
It was a butt numbing ride, since I haven’t ridden a horse in a long time. Let me tell ya, the round trip on horseback is painful esp. if it is your first time, you will be sore the next day. Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable and fun-filled trip for all of us.
Don’t forget to buy snacks and treats, especially buko pies on your way back, that’s their pride and especialty there too.
